My full name is Patrick John O’Brien and I am a graduate of the Royal New Zealand Police College — a former sworn constable, undercover police officer, and agent-provocateur who worked for Criminal Intelligence (C.I.S.) during the 1970s.

In November 2007  I wrote to the Chief Justice of New Zealand, Dame Sian Elias, and confessed telling lies in court to obtain convictions against my targets while working as an agent-provocateur for the Crown.

More recently, my two-page letter to the Queen provides some background material plus a brief summary of the police inquiry and criminal investigation that followed.

New Zealand police have covered up the findings of their investigation — Secret Inquiry.

This blog records a journey of rehabilitation . . . my long road back after running for 30 years.
